Biofeedback is an objective measure (biomarker) of how your MIND-BODY communicates influencing and impacting on each other. When your nervous system is balanced you are at an optimal state of health - RESILIENCE.
This means your stress response (i.e. fight, flight, freeze) and relaxation response (i.e. relief & recovery) are balancing each other. But more often than not your stress response is in overdrive.
Biofeedback can assess your nervous system health, help you train it to balance and systematically use if for performance. This, in turn, will benefit your psychological health (thoughts and emotions) and you'll experience less stress.
Most commonly measures are taken from your breathing and heart rate variability. But you can also measure your muscle tension, sweating (skin conductance) and temperature.
